Hip. Edgy. Ironic. Those are three words you'll never hear
to describe the Bristol Boys, purveyors of traditional
country music - the country music that you won't hear on the
local modern country station.
Evoking The Bristol Sessions, where the big bang of country
music occurred in 1927, the Boys enjoy putting their spin on
songs of Jimmie Rodgers, The Carter Family, Roy Acuff, Hank
Williams and more.
The Bristol Boys are:
Dave Orlomoski, guitar and vocals; Dave Aston, bass, and
Matt Nozzolio, dobro and vocals. The group is preparing to
release its first cd this fall.
The band members are alumni of some of New England's top
bluegrass and acoustic groups, including Traver Hollow, Amy
Gallatin and Stillwaters and Bear Bridge Band.
Sean Clapis is a young jazz guitarist
from Hartford, CT.
While attending the Academy of the
Performing Arts High School in Hartford, and the Artist's
Collective, Sean studied with prominent jazz figures such as
Paul Brown and Jimmy Greene. In the summer of 2005, he was
invited by the Center for Creative Youth to attend a
residency on the African island nation of Cape Verde,
he performed at the National Festival.
He currently attends the prestigious Hartt School of Music
as a Jazz Studies Major.
Under the intense
tutelage of such illustrious musicians as Rene McLean, Nat
Reeves, Steve Davis, Andy LaVerne and Jimmy Greene, Sean has
made a name for himself on the Connecticut jazz scene
He is active in the
Greater Hartford area and has recently made several trips to
perform in Madrid, Spain. The Sean Clapis Quintet is a local
modern jazz group aimed at making new and modern music while
honoring the traditions of the past.

Porter
Porter is a Fairfield county-based singer,
pianist and songwriter.
When Porter graduated from Brown University in
2005, she went on a 4-month long soul-searching trip around the Pacific
Rim. She realized that although she was away from everything familiar, the
only thing she missed was making music.
Upon her return, a friend of the family set up a meeting for me with Jerry
Lieber and Mike Stoller (i.e. songwriters for Peggy Lee and Elvis, to name a
few). To sit in a room with such legendary figures, seriously discussing my
career and music.. it propelled me. They were taking me seriously, so I
began to as well.
Porter since been performing all over the Northeast since 2007, and has
completed her first full-length album -which she produced, wrote and
arranged.
