I play
all acoustic, electric, slide, bass guitars,
percussion and MIDI sequencing. There were no
keyboards used in any of these recordings. Everything you hear was recorded with different guitars and basses run through various patches, including the crazy sounding samples. No pre-programmed drum loops, each beat was written note for note. Instruments used in these songs: ESP Eclipse, Fender Telecaster, Washburn acoustic, borrowed bongos, a borrowed Steinberger stick bass, Proteus X sound module, Cubase sequencer, a Yamaha MG10 mixer, Digitech GNX3000 processor and an M-Audio Midi controller. |

Mark Garthwait began as a drummer at age 8. By age
14, he was playing clubs and expanding to guitar,
bass, and piano. Through the 90's Mark rode the
Ct/NY/Mass heavy music circuit as the lead guitarist
for the band Hooked, and shared the stage with
national acts such as The Mighty Mighty Bosstones,
Hatebreed, and Murphys Law. His music has had
airplay on 104.1 WMRQ, 88.7 WNHU, 89.3 WAMH, Mark is currently writing music for a self-produced instrumental CD entitled Caldera, which he describes as "trance-hypnotic mood music". |
